Soy Sauce Kit Kat
The Shoyu Regional Soy Sauce Kit Kat was one of many that Jessica ordered from NapaJapan. Again, this sounded like it was going to be a very interesting and exotic Kit Kat, being flavored with soy sauce. Incidentally, Shoyu is Japanese for soy sauce and the “regional” aspect refers to their availability only in Tokyo. We just had one mini Kit Kat and tasted it this past Sunday.

Soy Sauce Kit Kat Bars
I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the package and it smelled like maple syrup with a slight sour soy sauce-like scent. This was a white chocolate based Kit Kat and was a creamy off-white color. The flavor was almost entirely like maple syrup with a slight sour aftertaste and a little saltiness.
Definitely this Shoyu Regional Soy Sauce Mini Kit Kat was much better than expected and more like maple syrup than anything else.
