Swiss Rolls
I’m a huge fan of Little Debbie Swiss Cake Rolls. These are an amazing snack cake and can normally be gotten for somewhere in the $1 to $1.29/box price in various supermarkets. I love them. So when I saw the new Tastykake snack cake was their own version of a swiss roll, I decided to go for it. I thought that since they were on special 2 boxes for $5 at the supermarket that these would be some sort of premium swiss cake roll product, quite possibly on par with a Hostess Ho-Ho. But, no, these are sad swiss cake roll imitators. Not nearly as good as the cheaper Little Debbie version. The chocolate flaked off in sheets when I bit in. The flavor was fine, decent creme filling and chocolate cake, but not as good as others that are much less expensive. I’m sorry, Tastykake, but you need to try again.
