The New Gold Standard Café

The New Gold Standard Café

The folks who ran Abbraccio in the West Philly closed down right before Lent this year and moved their operation into a small space at the corner of 48th and Baltimore Avenue that they are calling The Gold Standard Café.  This, in and of itself, is not newsworthy.  However, according to their menu, hamburgers are on offer and so I must do my part and alert the Hamburger Calculus community that a new burger is available and ready to be compared to the others that have been reviewed.

Watch this space as I’m sure that some of our commentators will have something to say about this new offering to the Philadelphia hamburger scene.  Will this burger (beef, turkey or black bean) be the gold standard to which other burgers are measured?  Stay tuned, friends.
