Bacon Breakfast Shots

Bacon Breakfast Shots

There’s been a little noise out on the internet about the Burger Shots from Burger King. The gist of the story seems to be that the Burger Shots are just standard Burger King cheeseburgers, only smaller, even slider sized. So, no real difference in taste, just a difference in size.

I decided to order up a pair of ham Breakfast Shots and bacon Breakfast Shots to see what they were like. What is interesting is that these Breakfast Shots actually come with mini burger buns rather than some of the other breakfast options, like biscuits or croissants. Basically, a folded egg rests across the two bottom buns. Meat is perched on top and then covered in a yellow cheese sauce, the same cheese sauce that is used for Burger King’s Cheesy Bacon Wrappers. Strangely, the two Breakfast Shots are not separate for one another, the egg must be torn in two in order to make separate mini Breakfast Shots.

Ultimately, the Breakfast Shots aren’t really anything terribly special. They’re not bad sandwiches by any means. Burger King’s eggs are a strength because they actually seem to be made out of egg with a normal shape, as opposed to the poached round egg things that McDonald’s tends to use. The cheese sauce is a bit of a downfall for these guys and the Cheesy Bacon Wrappers that also use the cheese sauce come with some crunchy hash round tater tot type things which help round out the texture.

  1. do they have sausage ones? i would be all over that.

  2. yeah, they do come in sausage, but little sausage patties scare me for fast food breakfast. i stick with ham and bacon as much as possible.
