Kit Kat Chunky Peanut Butter

I got a few bars of the regular Kit Kat Chunky UK edition at the Wegmans near Allentown. Jessica’s friend Rachael brought back a few bars of the peanut butter Kit Kat Chunky UK edition from Jungle Jim’s in Cincinnati. We tried them both side by side.

Inside the Regular Chunky

The regular Kit Kat Chunky is the UK variety of the American Extra Krispy Kit Kat which was reviewed earlier. However, it’s made with Nestle’s milk chocolate rather than the Hershey’s milk chocolate of the American variety. It’s a big bar version and does end up being a lot chunkier and crunchier than a normal Kit Kat. 

Peanut Butter Chunky

The peanut butter variety may be one of the best Kit Kats I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot of different varieties. It’s similar to the regular Kit Kat Chunky, except it’s missing a couple layers of wafer cookie which have been replaced by a layer of peanut butter. The addition of peanut butter makes this Kit Kat the perfect combination of crisp wafer cookies, chocolate, and peanut butter. I can’t wait to eat the other bars I have of this.

I am still baffled by the fact that there isn’t an American version of the Peanut Butter Kit Kat Chunky, especially given America’s love for all things peanut butter. This is easily the best Kit Kat I’ve had. I do think the smaller bar versions are a little nicer than the Chunky/Extra Crispy large bar versions, they’re easier to eat and easier to break into pieces for sharing. A smaller bar version of a peanut butter Kit Kat may be even better, if such a thing existed.  Please, please, please give us a Peanut Butter Kit Kat, Hershey’s! America needs it!
